A Grand Day Out walking and dining at Corrour

A Grand Day Out - or Evening out in Fort William area. Depart by train from Fort William around 6pm and travel through the mountains to Corrour, dine and return at 10pm

Looking for a fabulous experience in Fort William ? Then please read on...

If you enjoy visiting remote, special places, then we would like to recommend a short train journey from Fort William to Corrour Station, in the heart of the mountains between Fort William and Glasgow. Take a relaxing train from Fort William around 6pm and journey through the Great Glen to Spean Bridge, Roy Bridge and into the mountains for the evening... enjoy a home-made evening dinner at the Corrour Station Restaurant.

Later in the evening catch the train back to Fort William to get into town around 10pm. This trip would make an excellent birthday present for a friend or partner, a special anniversary or engagement or just for fun !

Depending on the time of year and weather, this journey can be quite amazing as the train makes a steady and slow climb into the mountains - the scenery if breathtaking.
Make it a Grand Day Out at Corrour by catching an early morning train to do the same journey, but spend the whole day climbing some of the Munros around the station and exploring the glens in this special place.

There is a good walk from Corrour to the head of Glen Nevis, which is a good day out in easy weather conditions during the summer months. Arrange for a local taxi to pick you up later in the day ?
