Skiing & snow boarding in Fort William, Scotland
Skiing in Fort William is an option for a winter break when the snow is on the mountains around Fort William: Nevis Range, winter sports, scotland
Skiing and snowboarding in Fort William are just two winter sports you can enjoy when you visit us over the winter months between December and April each year. Skiing in Scotland can be fantastic, but we really depend on a combination of succesive cold weather systems to lay the snow down, and then for a prolonged cold period to remain when the snow can be consolidated and pisted. Over the years we have enjoyed exceptional winter skiing seasons and winter climbing. We can get great snowfalls over the mountains, but then sometimes the mild Atlantic weather comes in and washes some of it away...

Nevis range offer ski school for youngsters and adults in both skiing and snow boarding so even if you have not skied before, you can come to Fort William and give it a go !

Nevis range outdoor activity centre is also heavily into mountain biking and forest walks, and is open all year round to visitors. The mountain gondola is usually closed in November for annual maintenance.
